| | Teens Against Tobacco Use |
| | T.A.T.U. (Teens Against Tobacco Use) is a peer education program in which high school students are trained to teach about the hazards of tobacco use to elementary school students through classroom presentations while influencing them to live tobacco-free lifestyles. Participating teens attend a day-long training workshop. The goal for T.A.T.U is to empower teens to stay tobacco free, serve as role models to younger children, and to become agents for change in the community.
The annual T.A.T.U. training was held at Waverly Health Center on February 26, 2010.

| | It stands for Just Eliminate Lies. JEL is a public awareness effort led by our youth to educate our young people and public about the lies being fed to them by large tobacco companies. JEL members participate in both statewide and national activities, but focus their efforts in their home communities.
During the school year, JEL meets monthly at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School. JEL currently has 25 members!! The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 25th at 7:40 a.m. For further information on JEL, check out their website at JELIowa.org
